Dec 22, 2014 How to Install PCI Simple Communications Controller Device Driver Software in Windows 8 1. Device or with a generic name such as Ethernet Adapter. Jun 23, 2016 I got all my drivers off of the ASUS website, and they all installed without a problem, but when looking at the drivers in the Data Manager, I found an exclamation point in 'Other Devices'. Like the title says, the 'PCI Simple Communications Controller' says it's drivers are not installed. I didn't find anything like that on the ASUS site. WINDOWSDriverPackages - This folder contains the INF files for IT Professionals.
Depending on which installer you use, you can see different versions related to this Intel ME package:
- In Device Manager: Intel Management Engine Interface driver version: 22.214.171.1249
- In Programs and Features: Intel Management Engine Components package version: 126.96.36.1994

I hope someone can help me. Yesterday I was getting an error coming up in Device Manager saying there was a problem with the PCI Simple Communication controller has no driver and I'd noticed some USB ports had stopped working so today after research I decided to re-install the Intel Management drivers from the Asus motherboard disk, unfortunately when it asked to re-boot the system I'm getting a red screen 'Secure Boot Violation' The system found unauthorized changes on firmware, operating system or UEFI drivers (and some more stuff about booting from another drive)
Please does anyone know how I can fix this as completely stuck and can't boot up?
Thanks for any advice.
